“Kick-Off” Classic

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S SOCCER TOURNAMENT

JANUARY 22^nd -24^th , 2015

Sponsored by the BHS Upper Ninety Booster Club

WHERE: Games will be played at the Birdville Fine Arts and Athletics Complex (Field Turf) and Birdville High School (Grass) / 9100 Mid-Cities Blvd, Ft Worth, 76180.

GAMES: Each team will play a minimum of 3 games (JV min. 2). Each game will consist of two 35-minute halves (JV will play two 30 minute halves) with a 5-minute half and 10 minutes between each game. All games excluding finals will be running clock (except with major injury). Be prompt…Game time lost to tardiness is forfeit time due to a tight schedule. Finals will follow UIL rules in case of a tie (goes straight to UIL PK’s). We will try to play most JV matches on Friday and Saturday but some will be on Thursday.

HOME TEAM: The first team listed on the schedule will be home team and wear light jerseys. The home team is responsible for supplying 3 game balls.

FORMAT: Pool Play for Varsity (with possibility to advance to 1^st and 3^rd Place Games) and Showcase Play for JV’s 

POINT SYSTEM: Pool winners will be determined with the following point system:

5 points for a win.

1 point for a tie.

1 points for a shutout

1 point for each goal up to four

TIE BREAKERS INCLUDE:

Head to Head

Goals allowed-total 

Goals scored-total

Coin flip

CHAMPIONSHIP: There will be various championship games on Saturday. The winner of each pool and one runner-up will play in the 1^st and 3^rd place matches. Ties on Saturday in 1^st and 3^rd place games will be broken by a U.I.L. shootout.

TROPHIES: Trophies will be awarded to the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place only.

INCLIMATE WEATHER: Tournament Director shall decide issues of rescheduling games in case of severe weather.
