BACKGROUND CHECK PROCEDURE

Hamilton/Northern Babe Ruth

(2022 Season)

• Click on the link or visit baberuthleague.org and click on the “Safety Solutions” icon box towards the bottom of the page. LINK: https://www.baberuthleague.org/background-checks.aspx
• Click on “Please click here to begin your Babe Ruth League required background screening and abuse prevention training”  If you do not have a SportEngine account you will need to create one or if you do, login at the bottom of the page.
• Confirm that you are registering and click “Continue” at the bottom of the page.
• The next page you will need to select your region which is Mid Atlantic.  You will also need to choose our league, HAMILTON TOWNSHIP BABE RUTH LG.  
• This is a two part process.  Part one is the background check which you just need to enter the required information. 
• Scroll down to the bottom and begin answering the questions.  NOTE: There is a $25.50 fee which you can request to be reimburse for.
• Continue through the next set of pages answering the questions. 
• Once you complete the background check and submit your payment you will be directed to the 2^nd part, APS TRAINING. 

• Part two is a series of nine videos on sexual abuse awareness. Once you have completed the videos you will need to take a quiz and receive a score of 70 or higher.   
• Both the background check and APS certification will be update in the Babe Ruth database which our league administrator has access to.  You will also receive an email copy for your records.

NOTE: Regardless of your current occupation, certifications, and affiliation with other youth sports organizations’ it is required by BABE RUTH BASEBALL LEAGUE that all parties serving on a Board, coaching, or in a dugout must complete this background check process which is valid for two years.
