2008 HHEFL Midseason report.
With six games left in the HHEFL season, here is the midseason report including your league leading rusher, passer, receiver...top defense and more. With the end of the season approaching we will take a look and see who is leading in each of the categories for end of season awards.

LEAGUE LEADING RUSHER. After playing five games Mike Hart continues to dominate the league with an incredible 49 carries, for 883 yards and 13 touchdowns. That is an average of 18.02 per carry. The next closest rusher is Antoineo Harris of Illinois who has 478 yards on 37 carries and 7 touchdowns.

LEAGUE LEADING PASSER. Craig Krenzel is leading the league in passing with 640 yards passing. He is 35 for 60 with 4 touchdowns and 1 interceptions. The next closest passer is Chris Leak of Florida with 443 yards passing. It should be noted that Missouri has played just two games and Chris Daniels has 336 yards and 6 touchowns in those games.

LEAGUE LEADING RECEIVER. Ben Hartsock leads the league in receiving with 7 receptions for 154 yards, but several receivers are right there with him

HHEFL AWARD LEADERS

TOP DEFENSE. So far your top defense is shaping out to be Illinois with 16 sacks and one game left, but in hot pursuit is four other teams. Florida has 12 sacks with one game left, Wisconsin has 11 sacks and two games remaining and Michigan has 10 sacks with two games remaining. Wisconsin has overall been the most impressive defense in the league, holding opponents to an average of 13 points a game and an average of 137 yards allowed per game. The commissioners may have to suspend the "sack" number to determine the best defense...Wisconsin is simply the best so far this season.

TOP OFFENSE-RUSHING. This is a no contest. Lead by Mike Hart the Michigan Wolverines lead the pack with 812 total team rushing yards. A distant second is Illinois with 631 yards rushing.

TOP OFFENSE-PASSING. Ohio State has had a awesome season passing the ball. With 640 total yards passing, they are holding their own to second place Florida with 443 yards passing. However, Missouri should not be counted out. With four games remaining Missouri has racked up 336 yards passing (average of 168 yards passing-end of season projection of 1,008 yards). This should be an interesting race as the season comes to a conclusion.

TOP GUN. Missouri quarterback currently holds the lead as "Top Gun" in the league with 72% on completions. The rest of the field is tight with Leak from Florida holding a 60.8% completion, Krenzel from Ohio State with 58.3%, Michigan's Henke with 57.9% and Illinois Kurt Kittner with 56.7% completions.

Six games left...who will be in the HHEFL National Championship Game and claim the 2008 HHEFL title? Watch for updates on this site, as we try to wrapup the regular season in two weeks at the 2009 Miggle Convention!
