2009 HHEFL Preseason Action!
The 2009 HHEFL Season has begun, with an afternoon of tweaking, scrimmaging and preparation. Today the Chargers, Cowboys and Panthers got together for some preseason action. The HHEFL commissioners also got together and discussed rule changes for the 2009 season, which is set to start in early October.
In the first game on the day...the Carolina Panthers, coached by Tim Young, looked good in their opening preseason game, with a successful scoring drive following a 56 yard touchdown pass. Likewise, the San Diego Chargers, coached by Matt Wavra, also scored, as the game ended in a 7-7 tie.
In the second game, it was the Panthers facing off against the Dallas Cowboys, coached by Matthew Culp. In this one, the Cowboys had the quarterback roll out pass play to Jason Witten working; they had the sweep plays working and some trick plays leading the offense to three touchdowns. The Panthers again had another long pass for a score, as the scrimmage was won by the Cowboys 21-7.
It is still not to late to join the action and the 2009 season. Stay tuned for meeting dates, times and locations, as the HHEFL prepares to start our fourth season!
