National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Presents their

2016 Man of the Year Award

Baltimore, MD - The National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association presented their 2016 Man of the Year Award to Ted Wolford, Former Head Coach, Upper Arlington High School (OH), at the IMLCA Convention this past Saturday.    

Through his 40 years of coaching at the highest level, Coach Wolford has been instrumental in the growth and success of lacrosse in Ohio.  Wolford ended his 25 year career as a head coach by winning the 2016 Ohio State Championship.  His 16^th such title.  Coach Wolford has been honored as the Midwest Coach of the Year 4 times and the Ohio Coach of the Year 6 times, and in 2007 Coach Wolford was inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame

“NILCA is truly proud to have named Coach Wolford as our NILCA Man of the Year,” said Ren Pettinelli, President of the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association. “Wolford has been a driving force not only in Ohio Lacrosse, but in lacrosse throughout the Midwest. Coach Wolford represents the sustained coaching excellence that every other coach in the Midwest strives for.”

NILCA was formed to provide dedicated service to high school lacrosse coaches throughout the United States. NILCA seeks to identify and provide solutions to issues raised by men’s high school lacrosse coaches. NILCA conducts its annual meeting in association with the IMLCA Convention
