CFL , Indoor & Overseas Football Opportunities-Players & Coaches
This is an introductory letter that I send to prospective pro prospects and college coaches interested in exploring the possibility of playing or coaching for a few months overseas for pay.There are also opportunities for U.S All Star Teams(Team USA), Div III & NAIA schools to partcipate in International Exhibition games or for college coaches to help teach at football clinics in Europe for a few weeks.
I'm right now interested specifically for teams in Italy(Rome,Naples,Bolzano,Ancona and several others) as well as any players who can get dual passports.Specifically I am inquiring for teams in Germany,Sweden,Austria & Switzerland that will pay a monthly salary plus small flat/apt.or own hotel room,rnd trip flight, cell phone, gym membership, insurance all taken care of.With certain teams we can also arrange for use of car & some paid meals,Internet,other conveniences,etc.The players could go over on American Passports,but the players who can get Dual passports are in highest demand.Examples of dual passport would be players with nationalities like, Italian,Germany,Swedish,Finnish,Czech,French,Polish,Austrian,etc (Any European and/or Non U.S Caribbean Island.
There are also several teams in other countries(Germany,Sweden,Norway,Austria) and others who still have American roster spots open.Euro teams can only have between 2-6 Americans on their team and only 2 Americans can be on the field at the same time.I have received Euro team requests for QB's who have shotgun spread & option experience who have good mobility. I also need OL/DL for several indoor teams and a LB/RB & WR/DB for a team overseas.
There is only an upfront fee involved when I work with players who are already a year or more removed from college and are not draft board listed or an NFL scouting combine invite.
The fee wouldnt apply to draft eligible players If the player is NFL-CFL Draft caliber.The compensation then is strictly a % deal on the contract with the agent according to the appropriate league's players association gudelines.All marketing on behalf of the player is included.
Sometimes the European teams pay me for placing top quality players & coaches for them and no fee would be involved on the part of the player/coach to me. Coaches overseas can earn $2500-$3000Euros($3,200-$3,900US)/mo for a Head Coach and $500- $1,500Euros($1,950US)/mo for coordinators plus all living expenses. Look forward to speaking with you soon.

My name is Ken Robinson,founder of International Football Scouting.I'm a former player,coach and scout and recently I have decided to combine my vast football knowledge and experience to provide scouting & marketing services for players who are interested in extending their playing careers. I also work with certified sports agents, most of whom are full time attorneys to help them land clients or find and market prospects.I provide all of the leg work to locate potential professional football playing opportunities .I make the phone calls , send the emails, create player profiles, do extensive research to locate teams , follow up in respect to game & highlight film that has been sent to interested teams or reputable scouting services(PFW or Mel Kiper,etc.). Basically I do all the time consuming work that some or most players and agents might not be able to do because of time constraints whether it be family obligations or their full time job(law practice).
I charge $150 per month on a month to month agreement(can be canceled anytime for any reason after the 1st month) or $500 for the year plus any contract negotiations that I do I charge 7.0% of the total contract for Arena and 6% on a 1st year standard overseas contract(6mos.@ 1,000mo typically =$360 to IFS for its services).The NFL is a 3% max. and the CFL was I know 7% in the 1st year, then 4%, and 2% in 3rd yr.,so I come in at the same or a little lower than what the CFLPA has already set as it's standard.
In some cases the teams overseas in need of players will pay me ,so I don't ever want money to beome an issue for a player to not have the oppty to experience the rewards of playing in Europe.
I have not yet applied for certification with the NFL or CFL so I would need the assistance of an agent in this regard if one of my players is offered a contract with either of those respected Leagues.My goal is to be an NFL or CFL team scout.
If I'm hired by a contract adviser to do the research, scouting,marketing ,consultation,evaluation,player profile write up then it's either a % deal of the contract or $150/mo. or some combination of both . If this sounds of something that might be of interest to you and if this is feasible for you ,I'd be interested in receiving a game film or two so I can examine them and then send them to the appropriate, interested teams.I'm in contact right now with teams overseas that are looking for quality American players.
Some teams pay quite well.In most cases your housing,meals ,insurance ,and transportation is taken care and your salary ($400Euros/($520US to $1500 Euro/$1950US)/month becomes your extra spending or saving money.The salary amount depends on the league level,player position and team budget.I'm sure you'll find that I do a very thorough,conscientious job.I'm a huge football fan ,former player,coach and scout perhaps alot like just like yourself and I love to continue working in a game that I am very passionate about.
In most cases I will work for the 1st week to week 1/2 at no cost to give you an idea of the type of job I do.If after that time you feel confident in my marketing abilities as well as your football playing abilities and you decide to come on board their is an initial $50 phone start up fee for the 1st month.A player profile would be an additional $100.
