JGBA BOARD MEETING NOTES

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION:
1. One of our largest Board Meetings. Thanks to all that came!
§ ** December Meeting date needs set.
2. Fundraiser updates
o Contract has been signed for the Canal Fulton Elmridge Party Center
o Date set for January 18th
o Ticket prices to be the same $80 for a couple, $40 for single
o Each player required to sell two tickets
o Need of someone to get tickets printed (250) max capacity. **(Tim Theiss)volunteered to handle these
o Balloons needed for raffle. - $10 each balloon, 100 balloons give away $500) **(Jeff Stran) to handle these
o Varsity players will help sell the balloons at the event before the races begin
o ** Baskets for tickets – This was lightly touched on. Need talk more
o 50/50 raffle tickets need purchased also
o Coaches to run the betting tables
o ***** We will not be having the Black Jack table. This wasn’t very hot last year
3. Player packages were discussed
o JGBA to purchase shoes for the 7th – 12th grade girls. All black Nike 2013 Hyper Dunks
o Players will be responsible for $65 and receive the following
§ Shooter shirt, Team T-shirt, Dry Fit, Team Socks, Practice Jersey
4. Varsity players to get new uniforms for the 2013-14 season. Nike brand
5. Spirit wear from BallHer Brand
o $5 dollar profit from each of the following will be donated to coaches for use with the end of year team function
o T-shirts $12, Long sleeve shirts $14, Hoodie $25, Sweat pants $20, Head bands $12 ** men adult and youth sizes
o Orders due November 16th can also place order online
6. Motion to buy 20 head bands @ $9 each -- $120 total
o Voted and passed
7. Motion to get Coaches Adidas Polos – 14 total at $30 each
o Coach Butch to get coaches winter jackets 8 total at $80 each
8. Holiday Tournament will be sponsored by Old Carolina
§ Spoke about calling it the Old Carolina Tournament
§ Spoke about offering an Old Carolina coupon and or advertisement (Newspaper ad)
9. Motion to a lot a cap of $1000 to advertise for the Holiday Tournament
§ **** This was voted on and passed. Tim to speak at next meeting about the dollar amount
10. Motion to a lot $350 for each Middle school team to do an event - **Passed
11. Motion to pay $20 each (8) for the coaches association fees - **Passed
12. Player account balances and JGBA funds overview from Jeff – Roughly $16,500
13. Touched on a few future topics -
o First week of April will be AAU – Air Attack
o Second AAU tournament denied, Tricia trying to get a possible Youth Spin AAU
o Senior night will be handled by the Junior Parents
o 1978 Jackson Girls Champion team to visit and speak with the girls at the Holiday event
14. Youth soft ball will now be handling the concession stands at games. Not the JAGS program as first reported
