Game 21 vs. South End Astros

Knights can't overcome errors against Astros

ROXBURY, MA...JIM RICE FIELD.......The Knights could not over come errors once again and handed over another victory to The South End Astros. Things looked good early for the Knights and then things went downhill....quickly. The Knights were short staffed in this one as their manager Eric Bellavia had to start in this one. Players were out of place defensivley and that created more havoc than usual in the field. TJ McAndrew got the start for the Knights and fell apart in the 4th and could not last through 5. The game got called early due to the lights being shut off at 10:45. Eric Bellavia got his first YBL career hit for the Knights as the Knights pounded out 9 hits but once again left runners on all night............Next up for the Knights vs West Roxbury at Ronan..7:30.

Game 22 vs Winter Hill Cyclones

Game 23 vs Somerville Alibrandis

Somerville proves to tough for Eastie

SOMERVILLE, MA.......The Alibrandi's hit early...and often. They jumped out to a lightning quick 7 - 0 lead after 2 innings and the Knights would never threaten. T.J. McAndrew got the start for the Knights and settled down after a rough start. He pitched 6 innings and gave way to Billy Uberti to pitch the 7th. Uberti making his debut looked good pitching out of a 1st and 3rd jam caused by another Knights error. Offensivley the Knights had no punch scattering 3 hits while striking out 13 times in this one 12 times against starter Dave Fioretti......Next up for the Knight vs Somerville at Trum Field 8:00

Game 24 vs Savin Hill Hornets

Hornets outlast Knights in slugfest

EAST BOSTON, MA..............The Knights battled all night long in this one but could not keep up with the Hornets. Steven Maycock was the starter in this one and it was the same old tough luck story for the kid from Watertown. Errors and mentak errors has been killing him all year and that was the story again. OPffensivley the Knights pounded out 13 hits but could not keep up with thier defensive flaws. Down 10 - 5 in the 6th the hometown team plated 4 runs to make things interesting. A Geoff Harris bases clearing double made things interesting cutting the lead to one. Tim Antonellis came in, in a big spot in the top of the sixth with the bases loaded with on out and struck out both batters he faced. The top of the 7th was a different story. He hit 4 batters TJ McAndrew style and was relieved by the latter. McAndrew got the Knights out of the jam but the Knights came up short in the bottom of the 7th. Billy Uberti got his first Yawkey league hit for the Knights.......Next up vs Savin Hill Wednesday night at McConnell 7:30.

Game 25 vs Savin Hill Hornets

Knights can't solve Savin Hill drop season series to Hornets

SAVIN HILL, DORCHESTER, MA.............Savin Hill proves too much for Eastie as they take the season series 3 games to none. Mark Eberle got the start for the Knights making his debut for the team. After a slow start Eberle settled down nicely to last 6 innings and was the tough luck loser. Offensively the Knights had plenty of base runners. They stranded 16 total runners and could not get the big hit when needed. They also ran into outs on the basepaths making things easy for the Hornets. All in all the Knights continue to battle and stay in games. As the season winds down the team is still fighting and there is no quit amoung anyone. Next up for the Knights vs South End at Jim Rice Field in Roxbury, 7:30.
