Knight's catcher and former Tri-Central High School standout
Ryan Moore has recieved several awards after a successful junior season in college. Moore led the
Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats this season behind the plate and at the plate. He caught in all 41 of the Wildcats games and batted .370 at the plate. Moore was named to the
Mid-Central Conference (MCC) All Conference Team by MCC coaches and was then named to the NAIA Region VIII All-Region Team. He also recieved the honor of being named to the NAIA Region VIII Gold Glove Team. The Gold Glove Award is given to one NAIA Region VIII player at each defensive position. Moore is now eligible, with nine other catchers from across the country, for the National Gold Glove Award. Moore recieved one more award when he was named to the
National Christian College Athletic Association's (NCCAA) All Midwest Team. Fellow's Knights
Brandon Beachy and
Shay Harden were also named to the All Midwest Team and each are eligible to be named to the All American Team that will be chosen at the NCCAA World Series in Strothers, Ohio.
