2 versus 1 situations going to goal
When there are two attacking players going toward
goal and one defending player trying to stop or
slow them down (plus a keeper) the key offensively
is for the player with the ball to dribble right
at the defender. By dribbling at the defender, it
will force the defender to step up and defend them
directly, which will then create space for the
second attacker to receive the ball and get to
goal.
When the defender commits to the first attacker, the first attacker can slot the ball into space for the second attacker to go straight to goal with only the keeper to defend the goal.
The players who do this correctly are usually the
"we" players as opposed to the players who try to
go around the defenders who tend to be the "I" or
"me" players
