LHS retires two jerseys
During halftime of the Lafayette/North Panola football game on Friday, September 12, 2008, the Lafayette Athletic Program retired Jersey #42, in honor of Lorenzen Wright, a graduate of the University of Memphis and a NBA veteran of more than ten years, with stints with the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Sacramento Kings.
Also retired was Jersey #20, in honor pf Peggy Gillom-Granderson. Peggy, also a LHS graduate, has played and/or coached basketball since graduation. She currently is the Assistant Head Coach of the Lady Rebels of the University of Mississippi.
