Defensive Effort Wins Game for Dawgs!
Beverly Hills, CA – With revenge on their minds the Law Dawgs took to the floor in order to beat a No Ringers team who in their previous meeting had held the Dawgs to 27 total points. This time the Dawgs had their star player Mike Mgdesyan on the floor, who had missed the last meeting due to personal reasons. However, the basketball gods decided to intervene and make the game entertaining for their own pleasure. As a result Mike Mgdesyan had the worst shooting performance of the season. Without losing faith in their star player the Dawgs continued to play hard and made up for the lack of offense on the defensive side of the floor. In the end the Dawgs put on their best defensive performance of the season and were victorious 39-33. Mike Mgdesyan had 21 points of the total team points. The game also marked the return of the young Dawg, Ralph Mgdesyan who was kept out of the lineup due to illness. During his absence the Dawgs' coaching staff had changed team strategy focusing on more defense. However, no one had told young Ralph this because he was looking to shoot at every opportunity. Once notified that defense is what the Dawgs concentrate on, Ralph stepped up and made some spectacular defensive stops. Welcome back young en!
In other news Hovik “John” Soibatian announced that he has decided to change his number from 42 to 99. During a press conference he stated “I wanted to change my number to better reflect my game. Since I play large I thought it would be appropriate to have a large number.” Undisclosed sources within the Club have stated off the record that the number change was a result of a contract dispute with Hovik’s previous shoe company Nike, he is now sponsored by Pro Wings.
