On July 24th, 2004, Army Spc. Nicholas J Zangara was killed Iraq. Nicholas was 21 at the time of his death. LBYO's Den Massot became aware of our neighborhood's fallen soldier and has asked that LBYO provide a place for a memorial for Nick. The family's contribution of a granite bench, and a flagpole have been installed on the corner of Red Lion and Calera Rds making this dream a reality. Along with Nick's family, Philadelphia Councilmen Jack Kelly, Brian O'Neill and PA Rep Denny O'Brien were also at the dedication.

In the photo, Rep Dennis O'Brien, Nick's father and step-father, Richard Zangara and Ed Burgstahler, LBYO president Joe Onorato, and Nick's commander, Capt. Michael Byard
