9/23 - Sharks Continue to Play Well
The Long Island Baymen Sharks faced the Middle Country Mustangs this past weeked and continued to play well in 11u Division at Baseball Heaven. The players are all adapting very well to the new rules. Matthew M. did a solid job over at 3rd base filling in for the injured Thomas B. Matt also had a great game at the plate.
Joey K. started for the Sharks and Jake S. finished the first game and held the Mustangs to 1 run. Jake S. made a great play on a bunt to hold the runner at third and fire a strike to first for the out. Overall the Sharks played well to win the game, 6-1.
Jake S. started the second game and again did a nice job holding the Mustangs to only 1 run. The Shark bats came alive in the second game scoring 14 runs and ending the game after the 4th inning. The Sharks displayed some slick base-running, bunting, hitting & running along with some long-ball hiiting by Joey, Davey & Matthew.
Everyone did a great job in both games both offensively & defensively. Truly a team effort in both games.
