Lovejoy Leopards Varsity Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning for 11- 1 Victory Over West Mesquite


Lovejoy Leopards Varsity defeated West Mesquite 11-1 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with Lovejoy Leopards Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Will Nopper singled off of Monroe, driving in one run.


Lovejoy Leopards Varsity secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the sixth inning. Lovejoy Leopards Varsity's big inning was driven by a error, a double by Cameron Pool, a walk by Zach Smith, a walk by Will Nopper, a walk by Jacob Terwilliger, and a single by Michael DiFiore.


West Mesquite captured the lead in the first inning. Muniz homered on a 0-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run.
