Lovejoy Varsity Baseball Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over West Mesquite

Lovejoy jumped out to an early lead over West Mesquite and took home an 11-1 victory on Friday. The Leopards scored four runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a fielder’s choice by Dane Locklear and a double by Michael DiFiore. Jacob Terwilliger earned the win for Lovejoy. He pitched four innings, surrendering one run, two hits, striking out five, and walking one. The Leopards collected nine hits. Luke Howell ( 3-for-3) and DiFiore (2B) each collected multiple hits for Lovejoy.

Lovejoy is now 9-11 on the season and 3-1 in district play.
