The 2009 10u/2010 11u Long Island Breakers played in their 1st tournament this past weekend, as they competed in the Columbus Day Weekend Wood Bat Championships at Baseball Heaven. The boys played real hard all weekend and went 3-0-1 to win their pool. After beating the Kingsbridge Knights in the semi-finals, the Breakers played the Mid-Hudson Tigers for the Championship. The Breakers and Tigers had battled to a 4-4 tie in Pool Play, but this time, they would play until there was a winner. Unfortunately for the youngest of the Breaker clubs, the Breakers lost 4-1 in the Championship Game, but the boys played like winners all weekend and showed that they are in for a great future.
The Breaker organization would like to welcome the 10u kids, their coaches, and their parents to the Breaker organization and would like to congratulate them on their 2nd Place finish this past weekend.
Next step for the 10u Breakers, tryouts this upcoming weekend for 2010 season on Saturday and Sunday. Over 25 kids have confirmed for this weekends tryout! The Breaker organization thanks you for your interest in our program.
