Jalapenos season ends.
Yesterday, the once again (for the millionth time this season) short-handed Jalapenos put up a tough fight against a strong Mighty 1090 team.
It was hotter than hell at Valhalla. The game went back and forth for a while but ultimately The Mighty 1090 took a 3 run lead that we could never overcome. Some great defensive work on behalf of the Mighty 1090 kept us from scoring.
Danny H. did a great job on the mound all season earning 3 of the teams 5 wins. As well as filling in at the plate for Jacinto a few times.
Too many injuries and guys missing too many key games put a wrinkle in our season, otherwise I believe we would have competed better.
All things considered especially the injuries we all spent time healing from, we had a good fun season. We made the playoffs for the 4th straight season and accomplishment we can all be proud off.
Pending a final decision, the Jalapenos Baseball Team will temporarily suspend operations until next Spring 2006.
