Our Fall Tackle program is designed to be set up as follows:
Practices begin August 17th, not August 1st.
Grades 1-2 (and kids that turn 6 on or before December 31, 2008) will play games in-house. All games will be played locally. This division is open to kids from all towns. This division is intended to be truly fun & instructional in nature. No scores or standings will be kept.
Grades 3-4 will play games against other towns as part of the N.J. Suburban Youth Football League. This division of play, while of high caliber, is intended to be instructional in nature and will not have playoffs or any championship. As such coaches will be permitted on the field with the offense and defense during play. All kids from any town zoned for the Freehold Regional H.S. District can play.
Grade 5 will play games against other towns as part of the N.J.S.Y.F.L. This division of play, while of high caliber, is intended to be instructional in nature and will not have playoffs or any championship. As such coaches will be permitted on the field with the offense and defense during play. All kids from any town zoned for the Freehold Regional H.S. District can play.
Grade 6 will play games against other towns as part of the N.J.S.Y.F.L., with standings, playoffs and a championship. All kids from any town zoned for the Freehold Regional H.S. District can play.
Grade 7 will play games against other towns as part of the N.J.S.Y.F.L., with standings, playoffs and a championship. All kids from any town zoned for the Freehold Regional H.S. District can play.
Grade 8 will play games against other towns as part of the N.J.S.Y.F.L., with standings, playoffs and a championship. All kids from any town zoned for the Freehold Regional H.S. District. Kids zoned for other towns can register to play subject to our parent league approval. Our 8th grade team will play some out of league games or scrimmages against Board of Education middle school teams in Ocean County.
While our teams do not have any weight limits, thereby allowing every kid to play, some limitations on the weight of ball carriers in various divisions, and the positions of very big kids do apply.
All away games will be approximately 20-40 minutes travel time.
Our teams are comprised of the biggest and best that the greater Freehold Regional H.S. District area has to offer, and will play some of the toughest competition in the State of New Jersey.
Our goal is to provide a fun and rewarding football experience for your entire family, while making our players the best that they can be.
