MARYLAND RBI GarnerS 2015 AAU baseball Coaching Staff of the Year HonorS

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. – For the first time in program history, the Maryland RBI Baseball select-travel baseball team has been honored with best coaching staff in the Maryland district of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) honors, Maryland AAU Baseball announced.

   Manager Mike Graham, head coach Chris Cummings and assistant coaches Jim Hoyer, Ray Albaugh and Jerry Gamblin of Maryland RBI Baseball have been selected as the 2015 Maryland AAU Baseball Coaching Staff of the Year.

   The staff guided the Maryland RBI 19U select-travel baseball team to a 22-3-3 AAU record, 31-9-6 overall (.733), including a third consecutive AAU state championship in 2014.

   In addition to the numerous big victories, state, regional and national championship appearances, Maryland RBI excelled in the classroom and garnered coaches and players’ accolades.

   Along the way, the program has helped 4 players to commitments to play college baseball and 3 more selected to intercollegiate club baseball programs and produced 14 AAU All-America/All-Star selections, Maryland AAU Male High School Athlete of the Year, and Maryland AAU Baseball MVP, Player of the Year, and sportsmanship and leadership award winners.

    The commitment to local talent has helped the program grow. For their work this year, Graham, Cummings, Hoyer, Albaugh, and Gamblin, who are all volunteers, garnered the Maryland AAU Baseball Coaching Staff of the Year accolade.
