Methacton tops Boyertown, 7-3, for first District 1-AAAA championship

As Friday’s District 1-AAAA championship headed to the bottom of the fifth inning, momentum seemed to be waning for the Methacton baseball team.

Visiting Boyertown had just tied the game in the top half, Warriors starting pitcher John Wiedmayer appeared to be running out of gas and his Bears counterpart, Brandon Griesemer, looked like he had firmly settled in.  Simply put, it was the moment of truth for Methacton.
