AAU Information For Off-Season Basketball Participation

In order to play off-season basketball with the Grizzlies Basketball Club, including summer open gyms/basketball camp, it is MANDATORY that every participant is a member of the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union). No one can even play summer open gyms without showing proof of registration in the AAU. This limits our liability, acts as a secondary insurance coverage, and is required to play ball in any off-season sport. Remember, all off-season basketball is actually a club event (Grizzlies Basketball Club), not a Mission Hills Basketball function.

Directions to Register for AAU membership:

1. Go to aausports.org
2. Click on Athlete Membership button.
3. Application page: Program type=youth, membership category=athlete (standard), sport=boys basketball. Fill out personal info. Club name is grizzly basketball club. Club number/code is WWAC4D.
4. Free T-shirt page- click checkout bar.
5. Check out page- fill out billing info.
6. Make sure to PRINT COPY of your final page (this serves as your AAU membership card). Athletes must bring this copy to me as proof that they are AAU members and are cleared to play. No membership proof=no off-season basketball. This membership is expires August 31, 2017.
