THANKS TO OUR MANY VOLUNTEERS!

To our many coaches and parents who help out with their teams, you deserve a special "thank you"!  The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes is run by volunteers to provide youth sports programs to our community.  Without the help and support of our volunteers this would not be possible. 

It is unfortunate that sometimes things do not always go as planned, and schedules change, weather cancellations, etc.  and sometimes everyone does not receive the communications they would like or expect to have in a timely manner.  Thus the reason we list everything on this website and update daily. 

We encourage all of you to make this website a part of your daily routine, when you are checking your email and so on!  See if there are any schedule changes, upcoming events etc.

We also encourage you to help seek additional volunteers to help administer the activities and programs that are ongoing.  Our programs can only improve when we have the volunteers who are willing to step forward and lead the way.  It's easier than you think, you just have to get your feet wet, and we will even help train you!
