Paul T. almost always walked to the mound for his day's work as the smallest player on both squads. When his work was done, he almost always came up big. Looking totally hittable, he constantly kept batters off balance with his movement and consistancy around the plate.
Paul was the Astros big pitching winner in 2008 with a 10-4 record. Big wins throughout the season included our 2008 opener against Hicksville 3-2, another Spring effort 3-2 against the LI Mud Dogs, a 9-2 win in the summer against a previously unbeaten Cedarhurst, and a Spring win against Massapequa 12-3. His relief effort against Garden City with 3 scoreless innings in the driving rain allowed the Astros to capture second place in the Fall NT Season.
He also contributed 11 hits all year and batted .500 in the summer. He had 11 RBI's all year with 5 stolen bases and was among Astros leaders in walks with 17.
