Gerard C. has been a valuable addition to Migs Astros. He launched a walk-off homer in perhaps our most exciting victory of the year in a 3-2 win against the Mud Dogs. His double broke open a close ballgame against Hicksville in another big victory. He was the fastest Astros player and played a very steady outfield. His smile lit up the Astros bench along with his goodnatured personality.
As mentioned above, he came up with many key hits all season including a triple against Massapequa in the resumed game that was suspended so the Astros could make it to the finals of the Massapequa Tournament. He also hit .353 for the year with a .444 on base percentage. He had 18 RBI's with his 30 hits including 5 doubles, 3 triples and one very big home run. He also stole 8 bases.
