Our General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at 8:00pm at Buddies Tavern
It is with great excitement and pride that we would like to announce the merger of two elite youth football and cheer organizations. The Morgan Parlin Panthers and the Sayreville Leprechauns are joining forces to form the Sayreville Junior Bombers Pop Warner Football and Cheer Organization. John Walsh, President of the Morgan Parlin Panthers and William Currie, President of the Sayreville Leprechauns, will serve as co-presidents of the Sayreville Junior Bombers Pop Warner Football and Cheer Organization. The Directors of Football and Cheer from each organization will work together and the Board of Directors will consist of members from both existing organizations. On the football side, the Panthers and Leprechauns programs bring Eastern Region Finalist, New Jersey State Championship, Conference and Division Championships and undefeated seasons. On the cheer side, both programs have combined to achieve National Championships, Regional Championships and Conference Championships.
We expect this merger to produce an even stronger commitment to excellence with the availability of more coaches per level, more levels of play/competition, more locations to practice and to host games. Rest assured, the commitment to excellence will be the same despite a new name and a new look! We will remain a member of Central Jersey Pop Warner and look forward to providing the highest quality Pop Warner experience to the youth in our area. Over the past few years, these two programs have worked together in referring players to each other when their respective program could not offer a specific level of competition for football players or cheerleaders.
When two well established and historical programs merge to form one powerhouse organization, it is ideal to keep a little of the old history and combine it with new ideas. We will be discussing ways to keep the history of the Panthers and Leprechauns alive in our new organization. The new colors will consist of Blue, Gray and White and the logo will be a replica of the High School one of the interlocking “S” with the “Bomber” Plane. Home Games will be played at the Borough Hall Complex (Former Leprechaun Complex) with hopes that we can host some home games at the Sayreville War Memorial High School Field in the future. Practices will also take place at the Borough Hall Complex.
Our first General Meeting will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 8pm @ Buddie’s Tavern 277 Johnson Lane Parlin, NJ 08859. Our First Registration will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 9am – 12pm @ the Mickey Sedlak Center. Additional registration dates listed under the 2017 Registration tab. New information will be posted as it becomes available through the Bomber Blast, and our current websites and social media pages. A new website and social media pages will be created shortly for the new organization.
