PLAYERS, FAMILIES, and FRIENDS of MPRSL
It is once again time to look to our fall season and begin preparing for a great year. Here are just a few announcements that everyone should know about.
1. NEW OFFICERS HAVE BEEN ELECTED:
President – Fred Gibbons
Secretary- Jennifer Harvey
Vice President – Todd Ulery
Treasurer- Bill Johnson
The website is in the process of being updated to include contact information for all officers as well as others who have agreed to take a committee or a position to help our league. Please check out the Contact info on the left menu.
2. NEW FOR THE FALL SEASON - BRING A FRIEND INCENTIVE...THIS IS A DEAL!! BRING TWO NEW FRIENDS TO SIGN UP WHO DID NOT PLAY IN THE 2007-2008 SEASON IN THE MPRSL (INHOUSE OR TRAVEL) AND YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR REGISTRATION AT HALF PRICE!! You will need to come to one of the registration days at the pavilion at Willows Park to complete this registration and verify that the new players did not play in the 2007/2008 season.
3. NO CONCESSION STAND DEPOSIT
This fall on a trial basis the league is dropping the $20.00 concession stand deposit. As long as parents do their part in the concession stand it will not be reinstated. Other options will be considered if all parents do not participate. Anyone owed a concession refund from Spring 2008 will be reimbursed this fall.
4. REGISTRATION DATES/ACCEPTING MAIL IN APPLICATIONS - Forms are being mailed out as a reminder to all 2007/2008 players that we have an address for. That registration forms are also being posted on the web site for easy printing in case we did not have your address. Please mail in your forms ASAP to:
MPRSL
P.O. BOX 108
NORVELT, PA 15674
Signups will also be conducted at the pavilion at Willows Park. Check the website for dates and times.
5. HELP IS NEEDED - MPRSL is being run totally by volunteers and your help is needed!! There are many things you can do to help such as helping take down and put up nets, help pick up trash, clean, help with the fundraiser, be a coach, be an assistant coach, help line the fields, and show up for the work day and lend a hand. Every little bit helps –and if everyone does a little job no one gets stuck doing all of them!!
6. COACHING CLINIC (NEW AND OLD COACHES) - The league is looking into having a coaching clinic run by Coach Floyd Snyder to help everyone learn the basics skills that coaches should be teaching their kids. Keep your eye on the website for updates.
