To the MVYFL Family
Wow! As the Head Coach of the Varsity Football Team, I find it hard to explain how great the turnout for Friday Night Lights was. Watching more than 150 of our Future Warriors competing in the skills events on Friday the 10th was inspiring. To see their excitement and to hear them cheer each other on was AWESOME! The football field was so packed, that as some of our graduating Senior Football Players - DJ Mack, Dylan Ferrier, Joe Dawson and Drew Hanson were driving by, they had to stop and come down to the field one last time. It is the strong bond of our Youth and High School football programs that make events such as this a huge success.
This past week was also a wonderful experience, our Train Like A Warrior Youth Football Camp, had over 75 players attending, a new record! Watching the High School players work with the kids is always a gratifying experience for the coaches and the players themselves. They enjoy working with the younger players and understand that by doing so they are giving back to where they started.
I would like to thank all the people of the Minisink Community for their support of the Youth and High School programs. We are the envy of many other football programs because of your efforts. A football program is only as good as the community behind it. Fortunately, we have agreat community backing us, and I am proud to be a part of it. I hope to see all of you around the fields.
