On behalf of Coach Burton, a thank you is in order to our community for taking the time to respond to the survey (select link) associated with the general health of the baseball community in our area.  The responses allowed us to quickly summarize the thoughts of those involved but your specific comments are invaluable.

We found the following subjects to be the critical findings: communication, coaching and travel vs rec.  A summary of the results are attached.

One of the significant results of the survey will be the elimination of the MYBL travel team requirements that mandated players play in the rec program too.  Communication concerns and the travel vs rec feedback from the survey will be initially addressed by this action.  Please understand that the amount of findings were significant and the overall process to improve communication, coaching and the travel vs rec critical findings will take time and further development of detail to eliminate all concerns but this is a step toward improving the overall health of our baseball community.  Additionally, it should be understood that this action was not taken lightly nor was it done in an adversarial manner between MYBL and any of our community rec programs.

With this said, please find the following information regarding MYBL tryouts below.  The quick turnaround on tryouts (2 weeks away) and the action to eliminate the MYBL travel team rec program requirement were made so that our community knew about this new information since there are other opportunities outside our program.  Other programs that are outside of our community are conducting workouts in the near future so we felt it necessary to get this information in front of our families as soon as possible.

Please feel free to pass this message along to your friends as well as the tryout info below.  We have attempted to reach as many people as possible but we know it is difficult to do that so we appreciate any additional assistance you can provide.

McCutcheon Youth Baseball (MYBL) - Tryouts for the 2015-2016 will be held at Wea Park: August 1 & 2 from 1-3pm for the 9u, 10u and 12u teams.  August 1 & 2 from 3-5pm for the 13u & 14u teams.  All players are encouraged to attend both events for full evaluation.  An additional day, August 8 from 6-8pm, for the 11u team and those who were unable to attend previously.  Please have players arrive early for registration. In past years, MYBL mandated all participants must play in the rec programs but moving forward this requirement will no longer exist.  MYBL is still limited to players who live in the McCutcheon District and/or who attend a McCutcheon feeder school.  For additional information http://leaguelineup.com/myblmavs
