Thursday night saw the Devils visit the McClelland Arena in Copper Cliff to tangle with the improving Minor Redmen, and saw them leave with a 5-2 loss. Both teams started the game on the same page, with equal chances at both ends, and finished the first deadlocked at 0-0. In the second, the Redmen turned the page while the Devils were still stuck on the first. The period went mostly the Redmen's way, as the Devils were disorganized and sloppy, and put their goalie into a shooting gallery, while the Redmen scored 3 unanswered goals. In the third, the Redmen again scored early and again at the halfway mark to lead 5-0 before the Devils could muster a little bit of offence to break the shutout as Jordan S scored on a scramble with the assists going to Alex B and Blake B. As the Devils continued their pressure, Preston L snapped a quick shot past the Redmen goalie on a pass from Matt D to end the game on the losing end of a 5-2 score. As the Devils limp home, the coaches have little time to get them back on track before they face the Elliot Lake Jr.Vikings back at home on Tuesday night.
