Palmyra kept their Bears Cup hopes alive with an 8-4 victory over Lower Dauphin in a CPIHL Tier 1 Bears Cup elimination game Wednesday night at Klick Lewis Arena. Freshman Gabe Page netted a hat trick for the Cougars and seniors Cam Ihli and Tyler Depuy each added 2 goals.  The Cougars broke open the tight contest with 3 goals by 3 different lines in a span of 33 seconds to start the second period. Lower Dauphin changed goaltenders to spark the team and they managed to pull within 2 goals. But Palmyra scored 3 times in the 3rd period to seal the victory. Carter Schofield propelled the Falcons' offense with 3 goals and an assist. Junior Liam Schmidt stopped 21 of 25 shots for Palmyra in the victory.

Palmyra will play Hershey in an elimination game on Friday, February 24th at KLA.  The winner will face Cumberland Valley for the Cup on March 4th. Cumberland Valley advanced to the Bears Cup Final by defeating Hershey for the 3rd time this seasons in last night's other Tier 1 playoff game.
