2011 PCS Lax - What a great season!
The Panthers have the best season since 2002, finishing with a 12-4 (75% win) record. The team also scored 243 goals this season - the most since 2002 and only had 84 goals scored against us, the least since 2005. We lost only to teams ranked very high in their states - St. Andrews, St. Thomas and Episcopal School in Dallas.
GOALIES: Both Connor Poetzinger and Nick Greiner had 64% save percentages with Connor saving an incredible 91 goals and Nick saving 43 despite his injuries during the season.
ATTACK: All three of our starting attack had incredible seasons with Harris Stolzenberg leading in total points (goals + assists) at 69 points and Miles Braun and Tucker Burks tying with 66 points scored each. Miles Braun led in goals with 40 total goals scored.
MIDFIELD: Andy Wheeler led the midfielders in goals scored with 23 goals and 28 total points. Ben Kennedy led in assists with 10 assists and 18 goals scored to total 28 points as well.
GROUND BALLS: Hunter Barnett crushed the rest of the team in ground balls with a total of 111 pick ups during the season. Jordan Gross led the defensive team with 28 ground balls.
FACEOFFS: Our All-American Jacob Werman had a 67% faceoff win percentage winning 127 of 190 faceoffs taken. Orion Rollins' percentage trailed only slightly at 65% winning 56 of 86 taken. What a great team!
We are all sorry that the season is over, we wish the seniors much success as they move into their college careers and look forward to another great season next year.
