POST 10 GENERALS

Newark Post 10 Generals is a American Legion Baseball program that welcomes to its community persons of diverse backgrounds. We welcome coaches who are interested in coaching for a highly competitive program of high school and college freshmen baseball players ages 19 & under.

The Assistant Baseball Coach will effectively teach and coach with the Newark Post 10 Generals mission and core values of Honesty & Integrity, Community, Service. This position is for the 2024-25 season.

• Hitting instruction
• Defensive instruction
• Able to coach both in-field and out-field positions
• Take instruction from head coach
• Take instruction from General Manager
• Effective communication with parents, administration, and student-athletes
• Ability to lift baseball equipment bag
  *Other duties as assigned

• Must possess effective coaching techniques & skills
• Need thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies and techniques of the sport
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team administrators, parents, and players
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

High School Diploma or it’s equivalent

2 years high school or college or professional coaching experience
