RED STITCHES Baseball Philosophy & Goals 

*  Player development of baseball skills, knowledge and passion for the game

*  We believe practice time is just as important as game time and competition

.

*  Improvement of each player on a weekly basis leads to a happier, healthier player and will not lead to player burn out.

*  Lessons are not helpful if players are not working on their own to create good habits and muscle memory

.

*  We want parents to take an active role in developing and encouraging their child through active participation.  (,watching games together, etc.)

*  Creating an atmosphere of healthy competition among teammates and developing  friendships that will last a lifetime.

*  We believe the entire roster should be used for a variety of reasons.

Expectations

*  As an organization we except coaches to do the coaching and the parents to parent in supportive and positive ways.

*  We expect parents to support all players and represent RS with class

*  We also expect all players to represent RS with class

.

*  RS will commit to selected players for the entire year and we expect our players to do the same.  In other words, with the

 exception of injury or other extenuating circumstances, we do not replace our players midseason with other players.

*  Players cannot play for another travel team while being a member of a  RS team.  Not for a game, not for just one tournament, not at all.

*  With rare exceptions, players are expected to attend every game and practice.

*  Before being allowed to play in ANY games, players must be paid in full in accordance with each individual team's fees.
