2023 RJF&C PWs, Jrs & Srs Are Super Bowl Champions !!!

RJF&C Jr Bulldogs going to the MFL Super Bowl

The 2017 Rutherford Junior Bulldogs (10-11) year olds are heading to the Super Bowl! The Bulldogs won a nail biting battle, 36-26 over the Carlstadt/East Rutherford Wildcats. QB Aidan Doyle opened up the scoring with a one yard touchdown run. A two point PAT kick made by Andrew Moller put the score at 8-0. The Bulldogs offensive line, Owen Fernandez, Yaya El Fashawi, Luke Cerulli, Chris Lora, and Dave Rojas did a great job opening holes for their teammates that allowed Cole Goumas to once again keep his scoring streak alive for 10 straight games. His first touchdown was set up by a huge run from Laudan Henry. Goumas also scored the third touchdown of the night off of a beautiful one handed catch from QB Jack Daly. Matt Scheibe scored the last two touchdowns, a 4 yard power run and a 25 yard run, off left tackle. Moeller added to the scoring with three PAT's. The Bulldogs defense gave up a few big plays that kept the Wildcats in the game, but on this night, the Bulldogs would not be denied! They battled for four quarters and ultimately took the will out of the Wildcats. Arthur Costan, Laudan Henry, Ryan Ward, Luke Cerulli, Devin Burgos, Jimmy Queli, Marchello Fernandez, and Antonio De Carlo led the Bulldog defense which helped their team advance to the Super Bowl. Cole Goumas, Luke Cerulli, Chris Lora, Matt Scheibe, Owen Fernandez, Ryan Ward, Arthur Costan, Aiden Doyle, Laudan Henry, Yaya El Fashawi, Andrew Moller, Jack Daly, Jimmy Queli, David Rojas, Devin Burgos, Antonio DeCarlo, Marchello Fernandez, Ryan Hayes, Nick Lora, Jailen Magai, Joey DeMayo, Cuya Khan, Fabian Cruz, and Louis Morella are proud to represent RJF by battling against the Wood Ridge Blue Devils, Saturday November 18th at “Rip Collins Field” in North Arlington at 6:15 pm. The Junior Cheerleaders cheered their hearts out & will be accompanying the players to the 2017 MFL Super Bowl next week.  This year’s 2017 Junior Cheer Squad was nothing short of fabulous. They are a group of fun-loving girls with big personalities. Our returning 6thgraders were very helpful in welcoming the younger girls to Juniors and helping to teach them the ropes: Emma Cartwright, Kaitlyn Hazekamp, Hannah Kane, Ariana Menjivar, Valerie Minnick, Abigail Moller, Miya Roberson, Lana Schroeder, Audrey Segedin, and Emma Wyzard. Our new 6th graders and new-to-Juniors 5thgraders were able to successfully blend into the team and really work hard to bring their skills to the table: Olivia Chaimowicz, Gianna Galvis, Jea Herninko, Victoria Micek, Alyssa Schaefer, Nicolette Shear, and Thea Wargo. RJF&C Senior Cheerleaders (12-13 year olds) will be competing in the Halftime Showcase of the Season, coordinated by the Meadowlands Starz. The competition will be held Saturday, November 18 at St. Mary's High School, Doors Open for Spectators at 8:30 a.m. For up to date info: www.leaguelineup.com/rjfbulldogs.
