Indians give it away ith the 7th.
The Indians took one on the chin today as they literally gave the Dodgers a win. The Tribe pitching was outstanding and held the Dodgers to 7 hits and allowed just 5 earned run. The Indians undoing came in the form of walks, 7 on the day, 4 hit batsmen and 3 key errors including a 2 out error that gave the Dodgers the 2 runs they needed for a 11-10 win for the hometown Dodgers.
Over the last three weeks this team has transformed itself inot a contender and is playing the best ball of the season. The recent addition of Tom Turner has helped solidify the Indians in the outfield and he is doing the job at the plate as well. Kenny Mckechnie and Travis Gundolff, were unable to attend the Dodgers game, but are two additions that give the Indians some thump on both sides of the ball.
In today's game there were a couple of standout performances. Overall the Tribe knocked out 17 hits, with Daniel Moore, Jason Chrisitan and Troy Hensley picking up three each. Moore was just a HR away from the cycle. Hensley has been swinging a hot bat as of late and picked up 2 tripples. Ron Cimino and Carlos Robles also had multi hit days as the Indians offense starts to heat up. The question is can the Indians get into the #4 playoff spot and make a run at the championships.
