Green Triangle withers
THE 2007 Green Triangle Basketball League tournament will be played over just one weekend in Mount Gambier.
At a meeting in Portland on Sunday, association representatives opted to stage the event over two days, with a full round of matches to be played on Saturday, December 1, and semi-finals and grand final to be completed on Sunday, December 2.
The omission of a first round in Portland was decided on after no Portland representatives were present at the meeting.
Also, the competition will feature just a maximum of four teams after Warrnambool withdrew from the 2007 event.
With no Portland representative at the meeting, it is not yet understood whether the association will be involved.
