The SILVER KINGS BALL HOCKEY CLUB'S inaugural season was 1989/90 their 1st. ever winter season...It was also the inaugural season for the " RESTAURANT WINTER BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE "...The first game was played at the ACT Center in Rundle Park on December 23rd. / 1989 @ 8:00am Vs. the Northlands Devils... The game ended in a 7 - 7 tie, there was no overtime , or shoot outs back then...

The starting line up was #68 Norman Leung in goal, on the point was #88 Robert Burant, and #77 Brad Des'Jarlais... On the wings were #18 Danny Russell, and #13 Robin Thenu, centerman was #11 Dave Janos...The 1st. ever goal scored for the SILVER KINGS franchise was by #11 Dave Janos, assisted by #88 Robert Burant, and #18 Danny Russell...

In  24 years, and 34 seasons later the SILVER KINGS BALL HOCKEY CLUB has managed to achieve a few ball hockey feats, such as THE 1989/90 RESTAURANT BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE FINALISTS, THE 1990/91 RESTAURANT BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE FINALISTS, THE 1994 BALL HOCKEY EDMONTON DIVISION 4 FINALISTS, THE 1995 BALL HOCKEY EDMONTON DIVISION 3 FINALISTS, THE 1996 WESTERN B QUALIFIER TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS, THE 1996 WESTERN B CANADIAN TIER II SILVER MEDALIST, THE 2001 EXTREME BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE 2ND. SEASON CHAMPIONS, THE 2003 WESTERN B QUALIFIER TOURNAMENT FINALISTS, THE 2006/07 CASTLEDOWNS WINTER BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE DIV.3 CHAMPIONS , THE 2010/11 WINTER BALL HOCKEY EDMONTON DIV.6B CHAMPIONS, & THE BHE DIVISION 6B CHAMPIONS  ...

The SILVER KINGS BALL HOCKEY CLUB will be celebrating 25 years of ball hockey in Edmonton , on Dec. 23rd. / 2014... An alumni game will take place sometime in the summer of 2015, followed by a party... Players from all the past KINGS'S teams will be invited to par take in the alumni game, and party...If you left on good terms, you'll be invited...

FYI: The SILVER KINGS BALL HOCKEY CLUB are currently the longest running ball hockey team in western Canada...One other team in Vancouver comes close with 17 years....
