On behalf of the Saint Joseph Soccer Club, I want to welcome you and your young player to the spring season of Kindergarten soccer! We will have a great 6 week session, gaining soccer knowledge, skills, and having fun.
The program is on Tuesdays, from 5:45-6:45pm and Saturdays from 11 am-12pm, on the football field(look for the football goal post) at Woodard Park.
Parent volunteers help make this a successful program - please consider helping, even if you don't know the game well - we all start somewhere! All the current coaches (from 1st to 8th graders) started coaching when their child was little, that's how we keep our program running.
Each week, bring your child ready to play in comfy, weather appropriate clothing with their jersey on the outside. For safety's sake, shin guards will be required, but soccer cleats are not necessary - regular athletic shoes will certainly work great (If you choose to wear cleats, they must be SOCCER cleats, the football and baseball/softball cleats have an extra cleat at the toe which make them forbidden on the soccer pitch). Labeled water bottles are also a good idea, since it is thirsty work on the field! Kindergartners use a size 3 ball. If you have one, you are welcome to bring it, but please make sure it has a name on it! If you don't have one, we have plenty to share.
