Bermudian Springs Runs Dry Against The Green Machine
Adorned in their lucky green jerseys, Southwestern York took sole possession of first place by defeating previously undefeated Bermudian Springs, 5 - 0. SW York is now the only undefeated team in the York-Adams American Legion Baseball League.
Kurt Seiders twirled another sparkler allowing only three hits in his complete game shutout of Bermudian. Jack Kercher blasted a round-tripper and the SW York defense played errorless ball in the winning effort. (Apologies to Jack for initially misidentifying the home run hitter here.)
To Bermudian's credit, their infielders executed a rare triple play on a line out which allowed SW York runners to be doubled off second base and first base.
The game was called for darkness after six innings.
SW York takes a scenic tour of southeastern York County for its next game when the team travels to Stewartstown on Friday, June 12 for the 6 PM game.
