Glen Rock Crumbles Under Southwestern York Attack
Southwestern York improved to 5-0 (league) on the season with an 8-0 win over Glen Rock. Brian "Boss Man" Bossom and Eric Moul combined on the shutout, with Bossom throwing 5-innings and allowing only 2-hits while Moul mopped up the final 2 frames, fanning 4. At the plate SW York started slow, but managed to score a run in each of the first two innings. However, the big blast came in the 4th, when SW York exploded for 4 runs, capped off by a monstrous 3-run JACK by Kurt Seiders. Seiders homer surprised some tennis players in the courts where it dropped well beyond left field. On the day, Seiders went 2-3, with 3 runs scored, a home run and double. Matt Hockenberry added three hits of his own, going 3-3 with a double and 2-RBI's. Bossom and Nick Wallin also chipped in a pair of hits in the SW York 10-hit offensive attack.
Through 5 games, SW York has outscored opponents 47-15 and will look to continue on the winning way as they travel to East Prospect to take on Wrightsville on Monday June 8 @6PM!
