Veteran Bossom Leads SW York to Victory
May 28, 2009 - Aided by an offense that produced a second consecutive game with a double digit scoring, Southwestern's only college player and team veteran, Brian Bossom, pitched a sparkler with clever combinations of fastballs and changeups. Matt Hockenberry closed out the victory on the mound. The diminutive but deceptively powerful Cavan O'Reilly, playing 3B, smashed an early home run to set the tone for a SW victory. The game was mostly played in steady rain and then called for darkness as SW was batting in the bottom of the 6th inning. Dover players, apparently exasperated by Southwestern's attack, were seen encouraging the umpire to call the game for darkness.
