Biglerville's Camara Stymies South Western York!!!
June 19, 2009 - The Biglerville right-hander, Adam Camara, pitched a gem and his team's defense shined even brighter to end SW York's chances of an undefeated regular season. SW York left 7 runners on base and squandered multiple opportunities to push runs across the board, thanks to Camara and his defense continually making plays to end SW York threats. None was bigger than in the top of the 7th. With the bases loaded and no outs, TJ Stevenson hit a "SCREAMER" back up the middle. Making a spectacular catch, relief pitcher Callahan snared the liner, then turned and doubled off the runner at 2nd base. Positioned to score two runners and take the lead, the games momentum thus turned and ended SW York's hopes for victory.

SW York's David Walker pitched five solid inning, striking out 5. Brian Bossom pitched the 6th inning flawlessly.

SW York remains in first place in league standings at 9-1.

SW York will look to rebound at 6 PM Monday, June 22 against Dallastown at SWHS Field.
