The Mustangs from Shadow Ridge new they were going to have to play a near perfect game Wednesday when they played the Gaels from Bishop Gorman. Going head to head against the #1 ranked team in the state, the Mustangs made it a game all the way through.

     Isaiah Blaylock got the call to try to silence the bats of the mighty Gaels, and after a tough first inning, held them in check until the fifth inning, when they scored 2 more unearned runs. Blaylock went 6 innings, while giving up only 6 hits, 2 earned runs, while walking only 1 and striking out 2.

     The Mustang bats were struggling against the Gaels lefty. He threw 7 innings, while giving up 6 hits, while giving up only 1 run, a HR to Jordan Hand in the sixth inning. Francisco Robles went 2-3, 2 singles, Tyler Burton single, Antonio Arreola single, and Eric Jordan, single.

     The Mustangs now play Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Centennial High School against the team from Desert Oasis.
