Any Adult Coaching or wanting to Coach for SWS Baseball Softball Association is REQUIRED BY LAW to complete and pass 2 background checks. They are the PA State Police Criminal Background Check (PATCH) and the PA Child Welfare Information Solution (CWIS) Check for a Child Abuse clearance.

 Every Coach, Assistant Coach, Team helper, etc must create an account for each of these background checks and apply. Upon approval/verification you must submit a copy of the approval form to the appropriate Commissioner.

These Verification's are FREE FOR VOLUNTEERS!! The CWIS is Good for 5 Years!!! The P.A.T.C.H. needs to be Done Yearly!!!

Volunteers who have NOT been cleared through these checks are NOT PERMITTED in the gym, on the field or in the dugout for games, practices, etc until he/she has applied and passed.
