Mudhens Come Up Short
The Mudhens posted a run late in the fourth quarter, but came up short in the end losing to Dale Haley 10-8. The Mudhens came out gunning early in the game behind 2 quick buckets from Ben Davis and Jeremiah Gifford, but quickly came to a screeching halt when the Mudhens became cold in the 2nd and 3rd quarters by not scoring until late in the 4th quarter getting a bucket from Geoffrey Smith and a deep 15 footer from Kyle Montgomery in the final 10 seconds of the game. However, after a time-out called by Coach Blaine for a last second attempt to steal the ball; Dale held the ball utnil time expired.
The Mudhens poor shooting night was capped off by a 4 for 21 effort resulting in 19% from the field. Davis led the team with 3 rebounds and 3 steals, followed by Gifford with 1 rebound and 3 steals. GT Smith had one blocked shot. The Mudhens will practice on Monday at 5:30 at the Evangelistic Center. Their next game will be the Mudhens 1st Away Game at Dale, they will play Dale Hamlin at 3:45. Come out and support the boys.
