With a game Sunday and little practice, what can we do to reduce errors; one of our own said it best...
"...With the field conditions we will play on the entire year, getting good hops and easy ground balls is not likely. If you don’t pick the ball cleanly then don’t compound the issue by throwing the ball away. But that will only work if after the first error is made everyone else tells whoever it is to NOT throw it. We’re going to have errors but when we give away extra bases on top of that it kills us! And then for balls hit in the air, it all comes down to communication. Whether it’s a pop up in the infield or a ball to the gaps in the OF everyone needs to hustle and talk! Center field and SS need to take charge in both situations and make it clear who will catch the ball." Getting to know Mathis Santella May 2008
