As a coach in Hillsborough County you will be need to complete several requirements:

1)    Submit to a background check (go to https://opportunities.averity.com/TownNCountryPony ). The cost for the background check is $36.

2)    Obtain coaching certification. You may do so by either attending a coaching certification course offered by the county (go to http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/index.aspx?NID=754 for more information) or by going to http://www.nays.org/nyscaonlineclinics/ (Under sign up, you will choose the first option that you are a new coach registering for the first time. Once you register, you will have access to the online clinics to obtain your id number). The online course cost is $20 which you can complete at your own pace (the online option is renewable each year without completing the training). Be sure to print the temporary certificate at the end of the course as proof of completion prior to receiving your coaching card in the mail.

3)    Complete mandatory concussion training. You may do so by going to http://www.nfhslearn.com/electiveDetail.aspx?courseID=38000 and completing the course online. Be sure to print the certificate at the end of the course as proof of completion.
