The week that was in baseball.  

The messaging for this week is for our August tournament.  

You have until next Friday (August 6th) to register.  That will allow us just enough time to get the teams settled and assign captains.  Please remember that in this tournament we do not necessarily submit our league teams.  You can register as an individual and we'll assign you to a team OR you can get a group that you like playing together with and put in your team.  

The key is to let your captain know this week that you want to play and he will forward your name to me.  

The Playoff Scenario.  

 Changes:

Dog Catchers can't finish in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th.  

Tap Masters can't finish in 1st or 2nd. 

Dodge City Rounders can't finish in 1st. 

Hot Tub Woody's, Inglorious Batsters, Beer Bros., Gruesome Devils, and Sliders can finish in every position. 

Grisslies can't finish in 15th

Sons Of Pitches can't finish in 15th. 

Hurtin' Units can't finish in 15th.

Dusty Cleats can't finish in 15th. 

Rusty Rebels can't finish in 14th or 15th

Draft Kings can't finish in 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th or 15th.  

The numbers in the yellow columns are rankings in the final standings.  The team abbreviations in blue show who can still finish in those positions.  Currently, positions 4-14 can have all 15 teams finish there.  (DCL = Dusty Cleats; DCA = Dog Catchers, DCR = Dodge City Rounders)

Beer Cup..........

The Hot Tub Woody's fought valiantly against the Draft Kings, but ultimately fell 18-11.  Now, the Draft Kings hold the cup.  The actually managed their first defense this week too by taking down the Inglorious Batsters 23-8.  

Next week the Draft Kings will try to keep it away from a rapidly improving Master Batters squad.  

So far the Sliders and Beer Bros, are the only teams not to play a Beer Cup game, but both are on the Draft Kings schedule.  Make sure the captains make their beer bets BEFORE the game!
