Union Knights Football Team

Coach Gassman joined Hadachek in 2007 at Union HS and was instrumental with teaching and coaching the young men in our defensive line. Adam is also entering his sixth year as a math teacher at Union. Before coming to UHS Gassman was a coach and teacher at Vinton-Shellsburg.

Adam played defensive line four years for the Drake University Bulldogs in Des Moines, IA prior to a standout career as a three sport athlete at Western Dubuque HS. Hadachek recruited Gassman to Drake.

Adam's wife Jennifer oversees the media center at Union High School and they have two sons, Lincoln and Isaac. The Gassman's live in rural Dysart and are very active in their church.
